We got tickets to the polar express in Carson City, Nevada this year! I'm pretty sure we purchased the tickets on a 100+* day over the summer - it seemed so early for a Christmas event, but spaces on the trains were already super limited! As a Christmas present for my folks, we got two more for them and made hotel reservations for the weekend. We stayed in Reno (do you know how much jack loves Reno?!? Restaurants! Arcades! Site-seeing! Casino breakfasts!). Add in a train ride to see Santa, and it promised to be a great time :).
Staying in a hotel is always a tad fun and a tad scary - I'm always worried about how the kids will sleep.
They did so well this trip!
We are super sanitary - maddy on the floor with jack's rain boots.
