turkey day!

we are so very thankful for health, family, friends, jobs, cozy homes, happy life.  we hope everyone had a great time celebrating with loved ones!  we sure did!

halloween 2013: school parties & parades

oh my, with school for both kiddos we had a crazy day!  maddy and jack each had parades and parties.  i worked at jack's since thursdays are my usual days at school, and pete went with his parents to maddy's special day.  she got out a little early and was able to join jack for his parade!  too cute, these kids.

halloween 2013: harvest festival

suisun valley has a great harvest festival, so we dressed up and spent the night enjoying being parents of a kid in school - still pretty unbelievable!  we participated in an auction for ms wishy-washy (didn't win), games galore, dinner, treats, and face painting.  we all had so much fun!

halloween 2013: an afternoon playdate

jack had his friend owen over for an afternoon of rough-housing, turtle playing, swinging, and my little agenda: halloween decor & treats!

after lunch and some playing, i gathered the kids together for coloring cute little monsters!  they loved picking out their monsters, making crazy faces in pictures, and showing off their handywork.

 next i broke out the already-baked cupcakes and bright green frosting for an afternoon treat.  i gave them each some candy bones and zombie body parts to decorate their cupcake.  then i let them EAT them - yep, i'm that cool.  a late afternoon sugar rush with serious frosting.
