our fireplace needed some refacing. we resued bricks from an old building.

the porch has been poured!

to ensure the house doesn't sink down (8 inches!!) again, we've had a porch poured around the house. it's an amazing area in the front - pete and i are planning on having many meals on the porch in the nice weather. the porch wraps around the house to the back landing. sooooo nice. and a great color. here are some process pics:
